Visit Brussels’ Atomium, the giant iron-crystal pavilion built for the 1958 World’s Fair, for city views, light displays, and temporary exhibitions. Your ticket also covers the Design Museum Brussels, an eight-minute walk away, including its 2,000-piece Plastics Design Collection.

At Historium Bruges on Market Square, follow Jacob, an apprentice to Jan van Eyck, through a film-led medieval story with sets and effects. Explore interactive exhibits, then sail and fly over Bruges in virtual reality. Audio guides, lockers, and wheelchair access are included. The tower costs extra.

Visit Train World in Brussels independently with a one-day entry ticket, free app, and access to the Draw me a train! exhibition through August 31, 2025. See the 19th-century Pays de Waes locomotive, old railway cottages, Schaerbeek station, interactive displays, and five steam engines.

At Bruges’ Markt, the Historium uses seven themed rooms, film, music, effects, and an audio guide to tell a medieval love story. Add an eight-minute VR ride over 15th-century Bruges, then step onto the panoramic terrace. The experience is offered in English and suits adults and children age six and up.

Step into Bruges during its Golden Age at the Historium. You follow Jacob, Jan van Eyck’s apprentice, through a romantic film-led story, then explore interactive displays on medieval life. Your ticket includes an audio guide and lockers, while the tower and virtual reality experience cost extra.
Spend about two hours at Train World in Brussels, housed beside Schaerbeek station. See five steam engines, royal carriages, railway cottages, historic objects, and interactive displays. A timed ticket secures entry, while the advertised audio guide adds stories and facts as you move through the museum.

It gave lots of interesting stories and facts that weren't written on any of the didactics around the museum. The reason for a 4/5 review was we found the staff to be a bit rude and unhelpful and the museum itself was very confusing to find your way around and there was not a lot of signage directing you how to exit. At Bruges Beer Experience, you follow a self-paced tablet tour through Belgian brewing, Trappist and abbey beers, food pairing, and beer culture. Kids ages 5 to 12 get their own Bruges bear story. Admission covers the museum and tablet, but drinks cost extra.
“The history portion of the experience was very educational. Liked taking the quiz along the way. The beer wall was super cool and Insta worthy đź‘Ť. Problem occurred in the tasting hall. Going to the bar with the 3 tokens and waiting patiently to be waited on was very frustrating. Was it because I was a woman? An American? Older? Visit the Salvador DalĂ: Marquis de PĂşbol exhibition in the Belfry’s Adornes Hall at Markt 7 in Bruges. You’ll see original sculptures, graphic works, and a dramatic DalĂnian interior by Barron Saint Mythelfinger. Allow 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your interest.
